Taking Care of Business
1. What types of firewood do you supply?
We supply a range of high-quality, seasoned and kiln-dried hardwoods such as ash, oak, and beech. These woods burn hotter and longer than softwoods, making them ideal for log burners, stoves, and open fires.
2.How dry is your firewood?
All our firewood is thoroughly dried to ensure an easy, clean burn. Each batch is tested to confirm a moisture content below 20%, so you get maximum heat output with minimal smoke and soot. You can use our logs straight away — no extra drying needed.
3. How is the firewood delivered?
We offer convenient local delivery across Rochdale using our own vehicles. Logs are delivered in bulk bags, crates, or loose loads depending on your preference. We can also arrange stacking for an additional fee.
4. How should I store my firewood?
We recommend storing your logs in a well-ventilated, dry area, off the ground, and protected from rain — such as a log store or shed. Good airflow keeps your firewood in top condition.
5. How much firewood do I need for winter?
It depends on how often you use your fire or stove. As a guide, most households using wood as a secondary heat source typically need 2–3 cubic metres per winter. If it’s your main heat source, you may need 5 cubic metres or more
